John Hinckley Jr., the man who attempted to assassinate President Ronald Reagan will be set free and allowed to live with his mother in Virginia full-time.

U.S. District Judge Paul Friedman has ordered that Hinckley will begin his “convalescent leave” on August 5th.

He also wrote that “all of the experts and treatment providers” agreed that Hinckley’s mental health issues are “in full and sustained remission and have been for more than twenty years.”

He concluded, “Mr. Hinckley is clinically ready for full-time convalescent leave.”

Hinckley tried to assassinate President Ronald Reagan on March 30, 1981. He fired six shots hitting Reagan and three others. He was tried and found and not guilty due to mental insanity. His claim was he was trying to gain the endearment of Hollywood star Jodie Foster.

Hinckley had been granted visitation rights to his parents’ home in Williamsburg, Virginia in 2006. He was allowed to stay for three nights at a time which has increased over the past decade to reach 17 days a month.

Despite Hinckley complying and seemingly dealing with his problems, this man attempted to assassinate a sitting President and caused serious damage to Reagan’s Press Secretary James Brady, who suffered serious injuries when he was shot in the right side of his head.

He should have to pay the consequences for his crime, not be allowed to luxuriously live in a gated community that overlooks a golf course.

Would Obama’s Department of Justice allow this assassin to go free if the attempt was made on a Democrat?

This is just another example of Obama and the Democrats utter weakness when it comes to law and order.

Share if you think James Hinckley should continue to PAY for his crime.
