The Olympics are an opportunity for the greatest athletes in the world to come together, compete in various sporting events and to be ambassadors of the countries they represent.
So what does it say when an AMERICAN athlete is asked about the country they represent and she proceeds to trash her own country? This is what Ibtihaj Muhammad had to say:
[I feel unsafe] all the time. I had someone follow me home from practice and try to report me to police. And this is right on 28th and 7th in New York City.
I’m very vocal about these things because I want people to know I’m not a novelty, I’m not special in any way, I’m a woman who wears hijab and these are my experiences.
I want people to know that as hard as [these racist incidents] are on me, they don’t come even close to things we’ve seen like the shooting in North Carolina or the rhetoric around the Khan family at the DNC. It’s ridiculous and we as a country have to change and I feel like this is our moment.
In an interview with CNN, she also made it clear what she thinks of Donald Trump, calling his words “dangerous.”
WHAT?? She happens to mention the shooting in North Carolina but notice what she leaves out:
Orlando. Fort Hood. Boston. San Bernardino. Chattanooga.
She feels unsafe in the United States? Really? The fact is, she’s safer here than she is in many Muslim countries. She’s provided a terrible representation of her home country.
But guess what? She got what was coming to her for that nonsense. SHE’S BEEN ELIMINATED FROM COMPETITION.
Now the only thing she can do is be a prop for Crooked Hillary:
Share if you think Olympic Athletes should be PROUD and SUPPORT the United States of America.
