Teachers at John Muir Elementary in Seattle are taking the anti-police Black Lives Matter message into the classroom.

Teacher Jennifer Whitney had an idea to wear t-shirts that say, “Black Lives Matter, We Stand Together” to school. Her fellow teachers and the principal quickly got on board as you can see in the video below. Students will be exposed to the shirts this Friday.

Regarding police interaction with people of color, Whitney said, “It is part of the oppression, the systemic oppression that continues on.”

How are children of police officers supposed to feel when their teachers wear these shirts targeting their parents? Cops put their lives on the line for our safety and this is the thanks they get.

When was the last time these teachers honored a police officer who was injured or killed on duty? Do their lives matter?

Please share this if you stand with our police!
