Tim Kaine and Hillary Clinton have gotten caught lying AGAIN! This time, another mainstream media outfit called them out, the Washington Post.
The Washington Post concluded, “Clinton and Kaine are doing some fancy tap-dancing here…Clinton and Kaine earn Two Pinocchios for airbrushing out too many inconvenient details.”
Coming from the Washington Post this is a brutal take-down. And here’s why.
Clinton and Kaine have both been repeating the same line about George Bush, the troops, and Iraq.
In the first presidential debate, Clinton remarked:
George W. Bush made the agreement about when American troops would leave Iraq, not Barack Obama. And the only way that American troops could have stayed in Iraq is to get an agreement from the then-Iraqi government that would have protected our troops, and the Iraqi government would not give that.
Tim Kaine made a similar statement in Tuesday’s Vice Presidential debate:
President Bush said we would leave Iraq at the end of 2011. And Iraq didn’t want our troops to stay, and they wouldn’t give us the protection for our troops. And guess what? If a nation where our troops are serving does not want us to stay, we’re not going to stay without their protection.
While President Bush made a deal with the Iraqi government to have troops removed by 2011, the Iraqi government under Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki reneged.
Bush eventually signed a status of forces agreement (SOFA) in 2008, but only under the guise that it would be renegotiated.
Condoleezza Rice confirmed this, “There was an expectation that we would negotiate something that looked like a residual force for our training with the Iraqis. Everybody believed it would be better if there was some kind of residual force.”
In fact, President Obama’s administration led by Hillary Clinton and Joe Biden were actually trying to renegotiate a deal with the Iraqi government.
Biden claimed, “Maliki wants us to stick around because he does not see a future in Iraq otherwise. I’ll bet you my vice presidency Maliki will extend the SOFA.”
That’s right, the Iraqi leader wanted American forces to stay in Iraq which directly contradicts Tim Kaine’s blatant lie.
As for Hillary’s claim, let’s look to her boss, President Obama.
“Four years ago, I promised to end the war in Iraq. We did.”
He even attacked Romney, “You said that we should still have troops in Iraq to this day.” Romney responded, “You and I agreed, I believe, that there should be a status of forces agreement.” Obama rejected the idea, “What I would not have done was left 10,000 troops in Iraq that would tie us down.”
Hillary’s lie gets even bigger when you realize that Obama sent troops back into Iraq and as it stands, we now have close to 5,000 troops in Iraq. Oh, not to mention the growing power of ISIS and the complete chaos that Barack Obama has wreaked throughout the Middle East that has put our lives in danger.
Clinton and Kaine are two liars in a pea pod.
They can not be trusted.
They can not be allowed to run our country into the ground!
