Earlier this morning Donald Trump tweeted out he has big plans for Dr. Ben Carson, one of Trump’s biggest supporters and a groundbreaking neurosurgeon.

Trump says he is seriously considering Dr. Carson to be the head of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

HUD has grown tremendously since the 2008 housing crisis where the department oversaw nearly $14 billion of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, known as the stimulus.

The HUD Secretary “oversees federal public housing programs and helps formulate policy on homelessness and housing discrimination.”

Carson adviser Armstrong Williams told The Hill that, “Dr. Carson feels he has no government experience, he’s never run a federal agency. The last thing he would want to do was take a position that could cripple the presidency.”

And Carson himself told The Washington Post he was looking at working “from the outside and not from the inside.”

“I want to have the freedom to work on many issues and not be pigeonholed into one particular area.”

However, he told Fox News on Sunday that he would be open to accepting a spot in Trump’s cabinet.

“Basically, I’ve said my preference is to be outside and to act as  as an adviser, but if after going through the process they all conclude it would be much better to have me in the Cabinet, I would have to give that very serious consideration. It’s just not my preference.”

Dr. Carson would be an excellent addition to Mr. Trump’s cabinet. He brings world-class knowledge and has proven he has been able to solve challenges once thought impossible.

Share if you want to see Dr. Carson in Trump’s Cabinet!
