Music legend Pat Boone knows a thing or two about earning awards. But, he takes exception to what is going on at today’s award shows, which have become political rallies for the left.

Boone takes particular exception to Meryl Streep’s bashing of Donald Trump. Streep and other Trump bashing actors aren’t even giving the President a chance. Even worse, they are bashing half of the country who voted for him!

“Now, first of all, I don’t think that award shows are the place to express some narrow political view,” Boone told the Daily Mail. “Now, it’s not narrow to her (Streep), or to most of that audience. But to most of America, who had elected a man that she detests and doesn’t wanna even give a chance to.”

Americans tune into these awards shows for entertainment, not for political purposes. But, liberal Hollywood can’t help but use it as a platform for left wing causes and to take swipes at everyday Americans who voted for Trump. It is not the place to place “to vent your spleen about somebody that you disagree with politically,” the award winning singer said.

Boone is well-versed in the world of Hollywood. His career has spanned seven decades. Along with Elvis, he was a chart topper in the 50s and 60s. You can watch him sing “April Love” in the video below.

Pat is 100% right. This world is hyper charged politically. Politics don’t belong at Awards shows. All these self righteous actors and musicians are doing is alienating themselves from their fans.

Share this if you agree with Pat Boone and want politics out of award shows!
