Elderly Hollywood actress Bette Midler found out that on Twitter, if you don’t know what you’re talking about, stay out of the conversation.

During President Donald Trump’s joint speech to Congress on Tuesday night he said the following: “In Chicago, more than 4,000 people were shot last year alone.”

It seems Bette Midler thought she would jump into the political spectrum like fellow actress Meryl Streep. She tried to counter Trump’s claim by tweeting a link to a Chicago Tribune story that showed nearly 800 people were murdered in Chicago.

Here is Midler’s tweet:

Midler believes that homicides equal shootings. She soon found out that is not the case at all.

Twitter users swiftly pointed out Midler’s complete and utter gaffe:

For Bette, 800 dead blacks is an acceptable number, and she doesn’t really care about the thousands more who have been maimed, disfigured, and have had their lives destroyed as long as Democrats run the government.

It’s sad when the anti-Trump, anti-gun libtards latch on to 800 murders as a positive thing.

Apparently, you must trade your souls AND your brains when you become a celebrity.

What do you think about Bette’s tweet? Do you think she has a handle on politics? Share your opinions below in the comment section.
