Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials are responding to a report that shots have been fired at the Temple City Sheriff’s Station.

The L.A. County sheriff’s officials report the possible shooting occurred at 7:15 AM PT at the station in the 8800 block of Las Tunas Drive.

NBC Los Angeles reports that deputies approached “a Chevvrolet sport utility vehicle in the sheriff’s department parking lot.”

It’s unclear whether or not shots were fired from the SUV.

There are currently no reports of anyone injured from the gunfire.

Deputies are asking residents to stay away from the area.


There seems to be heavy police presence in the area.

Jennifer Thang the Assignment Editor at KTLA beleives the suspect inside the SUV appears to be dead.

The City of Temple City is reporting the situation has been contained.

Police presence still seems to be on high alert. A helicopter just landed in a K-Mart parking lot.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department released the following statement noting they deployed the Special Weapons Team, but the “Temple Station personnel engaged the suspect in an attempt to neutralize the threat.”
