Actress Chloe Grace Moretz, who recently spoke out about her experiences being body-shamed as a teenager, is causing quite a bit of controversy following comments she made about Ivanka and Melania Trump.
In a recent interview with Variety, the liberal actress said that “women deserve better role models” than Ivanka and Melania Trump.
Moretz then claimed that the Trump women needed to speak up for themselves, wildly assuming that the two women were living in a “very sad bubble.” The actress claimed that she hates “to see any woman not speaking up for themselves and what they believe in. I wish they were more aware of their surroundings and I wish they were more aware of what their husband and father are doing. It pains me to see people who are just speaking through this veiled curtain of privilege and they have no compass of what is real.”
The liberal actress also seemed to imply that Melania Trump was poorly treated, arguing that “she is treated really badly, and I hate to see a woman who is not respected by her own husband, and a daughter who doesn’t see that she is disrespected by her father. I think that’s really sad. I think they’re also products of mental manipulation. You can’t see the forest through the trees when you’re that deep.”
Well, military veteran Wayne Dupree had some tough words for Chloe, arguing that Melania and Ivanka are successful women who are great role models for women. Dupree argues that Americans should stop listening to people in Hollywood, and instead listen to the people of America!
