There are plenty of math problems that require more logic than others. This often happens when you add words to the problem.

People can get into heated arguments and discussions over math problems. Some questions can have multiple answers, but one math problem is going viral for a much different reason.

Facebook user Antley Lamont Staten shared a picture of a man holding up two pieces of paper. One asks people to find the mistake. The other has a chart with numbers.

Can you solve the problem in the Facebook post below?

When you see the mistake you will groan. It probably isn’t where you expect it to be because it has nothing to do with math. It’s a spelling mistake or “mitsake.”

Antley’s post struck a nerve. It has been shared over 1.6 million times and 159,000 people have reacted to it. Several hundred people also commented on it.

The answer isn’t related to math at all. This is more of a spelling assignment or a Hooked on Phonics lesson.

Brain teasers are fun because they force you to reexamine what your initial answer is. There are different ways of looking at things, but which answer is the correct one? They require logic and problem-solving skills, but they can also be a lot of fun, too!

If you like brain teasers, check out the problem below. It shows six locks and asks which one will open all the other locks. Look at the picture below and see if you can figure it out.

Don’t let the multiple locks intimidate you! Just unlocking any of the locks will allow you to remove each of the pins and open it! All it takes is removing one of these six locks! It’s easy to see how this would ward off a goon though. He’d take a look at six locks and immediately think that is more work than he is willing to do! Sometimes a little creativity can provide you with the best defense!

Share this to see if your friends can solve it!
