Lena Dunham just proved there is nothing the Hollywood left won’t blame President Trump and Republicans for. The “Girls” star recently went to the length of saying she had a fibromyalgia flare up because of new Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

Dunham posted on her Instagram story that the stress from hearing Christine Blasey Ford’s accusations of sexual assault against President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee caused her great physical pain from her autoimmune disease. This admission should serve as a clear diagnosis of a very aggressive strain of Trump Derangement Syndrome.

The oddness of this admission is amplified by the fact that Dunham admitted to sexually molesting her own younger sister. Now, she is claiming trauma for listening to accusations launched against a man without any evidence. Maybe Dunham is stressed because it is reminding her that her own alleged “I was raped by a Republican” story collapsed when scrutinized.

While Instagram stories disappear after a short time, her other posts about her fibromyalgia remain. Read about her pain and remember it is President Trump and Justice Kavanaugh’s fault!

This is a post about chronic pain. I have it. I bet a lot of you do too. Some of us talk about it. Others are afraid to, as it could cost them their jobs or their relationships or their sense of control in a chaotic world. In this way it’s very analogous to sexual trauma. There is also (as @ladygaga so wisely shared this week) a proven connection between chronic pain and trauma. Therefore, a lot of people- a lot of women- find their pain is activated by weeks like this one. On the day after Dr. Ford’s testimony I awoke with a start at 3am. It felt like every cell in my neck was singing. My ankles and wrists were weak and my fingers didn’t do their assigned job. Yesterday I felt like I was suspended in gel, and when I meditated a line of pain zipped from my neck to my foot. I’m sorry if I don’t answer your text or email, or if I can’t show up the way someone else would. I appear to be totally able bodied but it’s complex, and I am just trying to do everything required to maintain a life of joy and service. My work costs everything I have. This is fibromyalgia. It’s little understood and so even though I have a lot of knowledge and support it’s hard to shake the feeling I am crazy. But I’m not (at least not this way!) and you’re not. Your pain, whatever shape it takes, is yours and so it is real. I believe you when you say you hurt. I have learned time and time again how important it is to believe.

Dunham is the latest actress to blame President Trump for her personal problems but Barbra Streisand previously blamed the Commander in Chief for her weight gain. She claimed the stress of having him as President was causing her to overeat.

Model Chrissy Teigen went off the deep end when she demanded Trump pay for her botox and medication as she claimed she needed it for all the anxiety his presidency was causing her. She also blames him for her dental problems. Who would ever have guessed Trump could have such power over someone’s personal life?

Tinseltown is so out of touch. None of these three women have any clue how ridiculous they look to the rest of us who are able to get through our days without blaming anyone for our woes.
