The First Lady angered feminists by using some basic common sense this week. Mrs. Trump believes that women who claim sexual assault and abuse should be heard, but that men have a right to defend themselves from these accusations. This is basic logic so of course, the left will oppose it.

Melania Trump isn’t afraid to voice her opinion even when she’s speaking with members of the media who want to paint her in a negative light. While her communication style differs from her husband’s, her message is often the same. She and President Trump are basically lockstep on this issue in the aftermath of the smears lodged at Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh during his confirmation process.

The fight against sexual assault has been weaponized in recent months. To many, it appears not to be a quest for justice but rather a sword to harm people without any evidence. In an interview with “Good Morning America,” the First Lady was asked about the Me Too movement.

Mrs. Trump had a balanced answer about the Me Too movement that most Americans likely agree with. She said, “I support the women, and they need to be heard. We need to support them. And, you know, also men, not just women.”

The notoriously private First Lady believes there needs to be “really hard evidence” before creating a witch hunt to destroy someone. This is incredibly important, particularly in situations centered around accusations from decades ago. People are innocent until proven guilty. Unlike Michelle Obama and Hillary Clinton, Melania refuses to weaponize her position as FLOTUS for political purposes.

A clip from this interview is below.

Of course, the online Twitter mob that accused Melania of racism for her wardrobe during last week’s trip to Africa came after her once again. Many leftists responded that she needs to get divorced. They also called her a liar. If their outrage at everything wasn’t so predictable, it would be funny.
