A mind is a terrible thing to waste. One of those wasted minds represents the 18th Texas Congressional District. Sheila Jackson Lee has been in Congress for over twenty years. During that time, she has repeatedly reminded us that you don’t have to be bright to be a member of Congress.
In the wake of Hurricane Michael, we’re reminded of a comment the congresswoman made around 2005 that is so ridiculous, it’s still funny to this day. Jackson Lee pulls out the race card so often that she even puts Maxine Waters to shame. She’s said a lot of doozies over the years, but her demands that hurricanes be given African-American names might be the most comical.
Given that Sheila Jackson Lee and her Houston constituents have to live in fear of hurricanes, she should realize that most people don’t want a hurricane named after them. But, Jackson Lee wishes “all racial groups would be represented” in the widespread destruction of vicious hurricanes. She wanted NOAA to “try to be inclusive of African-American names” such as “Keisha, Jamal and Deshawn” when christening these monster storms.
Yes, Sheila Jackson Lee wants hurricane names to be more diverse.
Houston sent its village idiot to Congress and they keep electing her no matter what stupid words come out of her mouth. She is so used to pulling out her race card for everything. It’s ironic that she is such a race baiter when her name is considered racist by today’s leftists. Weren’t Jackson and Lee important Confederates after all?

What do you expect from a woman who asked to see pictures of the American flag she thought was planted on Mars by Neil Armstrong? This Democratic heavyweight was a member of the House Science Committee at the time. Apparently, there is no scientific standardized test to be a member of this committee.
While Sheila Jackson Lee specializes in overusing her race card, there are plenty of other examples of her lack of understanding of American history. In the clip below she states the Constitution is 400 years old.
Sheila Jackson Lee has done more damage in her Congressional career than a hurricane.
